"Just a word to tell how much I appreciate your art and to be able to use it as a greeting card to people I care about,
in this case my daughter, is a special treat. There isn't much like it on the web." - I. D. Levin

How to Write Amazing Greeting Cards

Writing messages in greeting cards is usually a difficult task. It's hard to come up with something clever and interesting to write on the spot and if you're like me you wait till the last minute to buy and sign the greeting card, which doesn't leave much in terms of time. Writing your own message in greeting cards is a lost practice.

What many don't realize is that by writing your own message you turn a greeting card into a treasured keepsake. People no longer take the time to write a personal message in card or they use the excuse that they don't know what to write.

This is exactly where eCards come into the picture. Their ease of use is amazing and the message they can convey is strong and meaningful!

Electronic greeting cards are usually free and can be composed and sent in just a few clicks.

How do you express these feelings in just a few lines and make these eCards unique?

The tips below are here to help you write your own sentiments:

Take the time to find an eCard that best matches your feelings and mood. Choose an image that is colorful in a way that will relate to your content.

Take a few minutes to think your message through. Whatever you have in mind, jot it down on a separate piece of paper and write it in the card at a later time.
I'm not encouraging plagiarism but while reading other cards you could be inspired for what to write in your own card.

Instead of writing a note find a poem that expresses your wishes and make sure to write the name of the poet along with the poem. There are numerous poetry websites that you can look at.

Remember to be sincere when writing your message. It doesn't matter what you're writing and you don't have to be eloquent or long winded - just be sincere. Take the time to think it through then "put pen to paper".

When writing anniversary eCards - be passionate, bring up the good past, show appreciation for the effort put by your partner and end with positive words for the future.

When writing birthday eCards - consider how the birthday person would like to regard his/her own birthday. Do they regard it just as another day? or do they like to be the center of events for that day? Complement them for their accomplishments in the passing year, or the special sides of their character.

When writing get well eCards - wish the person fast recovery and add some humor to your content. Be positive about the future and try to avoid relating to the illness or current difficulty that the person is undergoing.

When writing thank you eCards - praise the help you were given, mention the event that caused you feel good, or recall the situation that made you feel special in the presence of the person you are writing the thank-you-note for.

A special note about holiday greetings: Every year we tend to forget that the holidays are a great opportunity to refresh and deepen our connections with friends and family. Easter, for example, is a time that fills us with hope and warmth. We surround ourselves with people we love and celebrate this joyful time of year - put a reminder to yourself to send eCards to them. Even if you remember and find the time to greet just a few of them, you will strengthen your connections with them and  find it rewarding on many levels.

I hope these tips help you in your search for the perfect greeting card message. Each and every person you customize a message for will feel special and honored that you took the time and effort.

My family and friends always appreciate when I send them electronic greeting card myself and not just buy a pre-written greeting card. I'm sure yours will too!
